With a child

The Musée des Augustins is committed to a family-friendly approach so everyone has access to art and culture, from a very early age. We’ve designed the itinerary to be interesting, fun and easy for everyone to enjoy.

Mediation resources for families

Throughout the visit, you’ll find special play areas, colourful, fun-to-read fact sheets, and sensory devices. So you have fun and learn at the same time.

The Play along area

You’ll find mediation resources in all the museum galleries. The Play along area offers a creative interlude for families, so you find out more about the museum collections through fun games. This space is designed to provide a little break from the museum tour, where you can touch, create, observe and play to your heart’s content.

> On the Darcy staircase: hidden shadow (guess the sculpture from the shape of its shadow), stained glass workshop (make colourful patterns on a light table), the landscape game.

Games to explore the artworks as a family

You’ll find lots of information cards and freely available resources throughout your visit. To delve deeper into the collections, take advantage of :
